 “An MS diagnosis pulls the world out from under you. I know this because I was diagnosed with M.S. in 1993. My lived experience of MS, along with specialized sex educator training has given me a unique perspective that guides my work.” 

Personally and professionally, every life choice has followed a path of compassion and activism. As a Lay-Midwife in the '1980s, she helped women find empowerment through the birth process, ushered new life into the world in a peaceful and loving environment, and educated families about birth and sexuality.

As a producer and director at her Austin film company, Full Circle Productions, she served the arts and non-profit community as she worked with organizations and women from all over the world to embrace change through storytelling. She formed Glimmerance in 2008 to sell her specialized line of all-natural, personal-care products that support healthy sexual connection and activity. 

The spark for MS Sexual Health began in 2020. Through this company, she produces "The MS and SEX Podcast" and offers Holistic Sex Education. Her work supports personal growth, healthy relationships, and empowerment for all people, focusing on folx with M.S., chronic illness, and disabilities. 

As a supporting member of AASECT, she abides by the organization’s ethical code of conduct. She is also a member of the Society for the Scientific Study of Sexuality. As a Certified Holistic Sex Educator she continually deepens her understanding of sexuality at the Institute for Sexuality Education and Enlightenment (ISEE) and the professional connections within these organizations.

Currently, she is not producing podcasts or offering workshops because she is enrolled full-time at The Evergreen State College in the Psychology Capstone Program; fulfilling her internship at Dove House and Recovery Cafe in Port Townsend, WA. She will graduate in June of 2024 and plans to sit for her Behavioral Support Specialist (BHSS) Certification in January of 2025. Exciting Times!
